When That First Step Feels Overwhelming

Last night, I talked about not being afraid to get lost in life. Maybe you’re still not convinced, thinking staying where you are feels safer than getting lost and not finding your way back.

I understand. Self-discovery isn’t always pretty — it’s confusing, uncomfortable, and slow in a world that moves so fast (´-﹏-`)

But can I tell you something?

There’s an idea that instead of chasing butterflies, you plant a garden. You focus on the soil, the watering, the patience it takes to grow something.

Maybe the butterflies will come, maybe they won’t — but you’ll still have something you built over time (≧▽≦)

☆ Stop chasing outcomes, start building something of your own

I believe life works the same way. Instead of getting overwhelmed chasing certainty, success, or who you think you should be, you take care of what’s in front of you.

You take a step, then another. You learn, try, fail, and adjust.

☆ It’s not about guaranteed results, it’s about giving your days meaning. If the first step feels impossible, don’t think of it as finding the answer. Think of it as planting something with that step.

One day, when you’re tired from all the trying, you might look back and see a trail of flowers left behind — from every step you had the courage to take.
